Former APC House of Representatives Aspirant, Hon. Tope Iwagun, Speaks Out Over Online Criticism
Former APC aspirant for the Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency, Hon. Tope Iwagun, has publicly expressed concern over what she described as persistent online attacks and insults from some youths of Ilutitun.
In a statement shared on her official social media page, Iwagun said she remains focused on her personal growth, political journey, and the development of young people, particularly women. She maintained that she has wronged no one and urged critics to channel their energy into self-development rather than personal attacks.
The former aspirant also reflected on her political experience, stating that she chose to pursue her convictions rather than seek personal favors. She acknowledged Chief Oguntimehin (popularly known as Baba Alasfat) for his support during challenging moments and also spoke positively of BTO for standing by her.
Calling for greater youth empowerment, Iwagun urged the Ilutitun Youth Development Forum (IYDF) to organize a self-development roundtable for youths across Ikale land, suggesting that prominent leaders and elected representatives should support the initiative.
She concluded by reaffirming her commitment to youth development and advised those opposed to her progress to focus on their own aspirations instead of engaging in unnecessary distractions.
