Hon. Mathew Oye Oyerinmade, popularly known as MATO, an APC chieftain and prominent political figure in Ondo South, on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, met with the MMG leaders, members and followers at the Royal Bay Event Centre, Okitipupa, as part of efforts to update his supporters on his political journey so far.
The meeting attracted hundreds of supporters from across the six Local Government Areas of Ondo South Senatorial District, who gathered to hear directly from MATO on his political direction, experiences and plans ahead.

MATO also disclosed that he would soon officially unveil the political party platform under which he intends to contest, urging his supporters and political associates to remain calm and expect further announcements from him.
In addition, MATO assured his supporters of his commitment to supporting the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, describing the forthcoming election as an important political moment that requires unity and strategic mobilisation.
He emphasized the need for his supporters and political associates to remain focused, united and committed as the political activities ahead of the 2027 elections gather momentum.
